Pukuakanga salignea, a new genus and species of Dictyopharidae (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha: Fulgoromorpha) from Southeastern Brazil

Pukuakanga gen. nov., a new genus of Dictyopharidae, is established based on adult specimens of a new species, Pukuakanga salignea sp.nov., from different municipalities of Minas Gerais State, Brazil. The genus can be determined by a characters combination like: head length 4.8× width of the base; apex of head projection showing the union of marginal carinae of the front and vertex laterally to projection; carina tegulae absence; anteromedian margin of pronotum straight, three rows of cells on membrane of fore wing; aedeagus with the conjunctiva bifurcated forming two pairs of tubes, and the thorn of the penis showing a lateral branch.Published
