![]() Abstract It was studied the external morphology and the meansures of the ovaries, uterine tubes and uterus in 14 adult females of collared pecary and in seven White lipped peccary females (three young and four adult females) and the resources, after fixation in aqueous solution of formol 10%, it was dissected. For the studies on the arterial vascularization through the arteries solution colored neoprene latex 650 was injected in the nine visceral group of adult females of collared peccary, including a youth and a pregnant female, and six groups of white lipped peccary females (three young and three adult). The material was obtained in the Federal University of Paraná - Campus of Palotina and in the State University of São Paulo - Campus of Ilha Solteria. The ovaries are oval and its surface becomes irregular when there are corpus luteum or follicle. The uterine tubes are long, fine and reeled and they finish in the extremity tubes of the ovaries, in the fimbrias and the communication with the uterus happens in a continuous way. The partial ovarian bursa with a wide hole contains the ovary. The uterus is bicornuated type and it possesses a short body and a long cervix with projections you yeam for the cervical channel checking it light spirally. The uterine horns turn ventrally in helix form and they are short. The responsible arteries for the blood nutrition of the ovaries, uterine tubes and uterus are the arteries utero-ovaric, that they emit the uterine arteries and ovaric and the vaginal arteries. The ovaric artery emits branches to the ovary, uterine tube (tubes branches) and cranial extremity of the uterine horn (tube-uterine branches) and the uterine artery emits branches for the uterine horns, uterine body and cervix. The artery vaginal emits branches for the cervix and vagina. |
